Midwifery Services
Community Midwives pride ourselves in providing you (and your partner if you have one) with respectful care, understanding, information and support through full maternity care, wellness care, and sexual health visits. A quick 15 minute initial phone meeting helps me discover if i can fit your needs, as every individual and family is different. To schedule an initial consultation, or to learn more about this unique practice, please schedule a time to talk.
Prenatal Care
Every visit is centered around you. Need to talk about your feelings? Want to learn about nutrition? Want to get the inside scoop on all things pregnancy, birth and postpartum? We're your gals.
Our practice is especially proud of how we INTEGRATE your partner in the prenatal care. We midwife the pregnant person, and we hold you both together.
Home Birth
Water Birth
The midwives you have gotten to know and love,
come to your powerful birth, at your home.
We come when you need us. We come to support you and your partner/ family, to help them support you.
We bring all the equipment, just in case.
Birth in the water or not- as you like.
We clean up afterwards.
(As it should be!)
(and we drink your coffee and eat your toast.)
Postpartum Care
What if all those little questions you have as a new family - or all the growing pains of having an expanding family- were supported by someone you trusted?
What if they helped you trust yourself more too?
We come to you 3 times in the 1st 2 weeks postpartum. Breastfeeding, baby wearing, sleeplessness and crying babies - you appreciate having someone who comes to YOU, to help remind you of how it feels to be supported.
Because you're doing the MOST important work IN THE WORLD.
Wellness Care
What if your pap, hormonal changes, family planning, and annual visit could be experiences you looked forward to? What if you could have a gentle pap and get more time to have a complete wellness visit? What if you could see the same midwife for this into your old age? Revolutionary. Or old-fashioned. Really it's a return to wise woman healing and women helping one another as we grow and age. Whether we're having our babies or having a visit, seeing a midwife is a special time. We love it too.
